- I have just installed the Trumpet winsock using wfwg 3.11,
- and am generally more pleased with it than microsoft's
- memory hog tcpip package. (It seems, however that trumpet
- is a bit slower than the ms version.)
-
- I am interested in using 386max memory organizer with my
- system, in order to use the microsoft c version 7 compiler.
- However, the "net start" command, which loads the packet
- drivers, etc., does not know how to load the packet drivers,
- etc. in high memory when emm386 is not being used, as it is
- when I use 386max.
-
- Is there a way to set up the protocol & system.ini files
- to indicate loading of the drivers into high dos memory
- via 386 max?
-
- Alternatively, can one dispense with the "net start" command
- at dos, and get windows to load the drivers, including winpkt?
-
- Thanks in advance.
